The clues are equations made of shapes. Every shape stands for one number, and the same shape is always the same number within a puzzle. In the Shape Lab, set what you think each shape is worth. Then work out the target and press SOLVE (Enter). The game will not warn you while you work. It only checks when you press SOLVE — so check your values against every clue yourself first. That's not a limitation; that's the skill. Made a mess? z is undo, y is redo. The shape's look never tells you its value. A hexagon might be 3 in one puzzle and 9 in the next. Only the clues count.
